Nitor has appointed Santtu Vuori as the Managing Director of its subsidiary in Sweden, starting in the beginning of April 2024. Vuori, who previously worked as the company's Chief Technology Officer in Sweden, will be responsible for developing the digital engineering company's Swedish business, particularly in sales.
Vuori's background in technology and consulting will also be an advantage in his new role as head of the country organisation. His expertise and knowledge of the local IT market will give him an excellent basis for developing Nitor's offering and identifying emerging business opportunities. Vuori is also responsible for developing the best possible workplace for current and future digital engineers.
"Santtu combines a deep understanding of business and technology. This is definitely an advantage in the competitive IT services market, where value must be delivered to the customer by sensibly doing the right things. We are very pleased to strengthen our growth in Sweden under Santtu's leadership," says Olli Auvinen, CEO of Nitor.
Despite the challenging market situation, Nitor's revenue in Sweden grew 50 % in 2023. Overall, Nitor continued its growth path and improved its profit. The company has built sustainable growth year after year by investing in world-class expertise and long-term strategic partnerships in business-critical systems. The same recipe for success is now taken to Sweden with higher ambition.
"Our short-term goal is to move larger projects and deliver comprehensive solutions. In Sweden, companies are currently investing in digital solutions rather cautiously, and there is even an oversupply of talent. On the other hand, we see potential in services such as data, where demand is clearly growing," Vuori says.
Vuori has a history of working with Nitor for almost ten years in Finland and Sweden. The experienced IT veteran returned to the company in June 2023. Vuori has worked with brands such as Telia, Finnair, Doconomy, Stockholms Lokaltrafik, Kesko, and Mastercard.
"Nitor has developed tremendously since I first started here. It's great to be part of the growth story of such an ambitious and forward-looking company. Nitor has a great community and a passion for working and learning new things together. This also shows in the support we receive from our colleagues across country borders," Vuori says.
Soon to celebrate its seventh anniversary in Sweden, Nitor has grown from a few consultants to a team of more than 20 digital engineers. The company opened a new office in Stockholm's Östermalm in 2023. In total, Nitor employs more than 300 experts.
